Driving Directions to Sandestin Hilton from Birmingham_via I-65 South

Take I-65 South and continue south through Montgomery and Greenville, AL  [Note:  There are a number of restaurants in Greenville including a Cracker Barrel, motels, gas stations, a Wal-Mart, a Winn Dixie--all within a mile of the interstate exit.  This is the last "oasis" of this concentration until you hit Andalusia.]

Exit at Exit 114 Georgiana (Birthplace of Hank Williams, Sr.) Route 106

Turn LEFT onto Route 106

Go 3 miles through YELLOW flashing light to 2^nd RED flashing light

Turn RIGHT onto Highway 31 South

At McKenzie stay straight ahead onto Highway 55 (4 lane highway with NO TRAFFIC;  the Crum Foshee Highway) when Hwy 31 goes right

Go 20 miles and turn LEFT onto Highway 84 East to Andalusia at red flashing light

Go 4 miles to stoplight and at dead end (shopping center straight ahead) turn RIGHT onto Hwy 29 south towards Brewton [Note:  Once you are on Hwy. 29 DO NOT TURN left at signs for Destin or beaches before you get to Rt. 137.  This is a different route that will not save time and does not use the new Bay Bridge.]

Go 11.3 miles and turn LEFT onto Rt. 137 South (through National Forest towards Wing and Baker, signs for Wing, Baker, Blue Lake Camp) (The 11.3 miles coming out of Andalusia on 137 seems long and you will think you missed the turn.  The turn onto 137 is well marked.  You won't miss it.)

Cross Florida State line where Rt. 137 will become Rt. 189 and then Hwy 4

Go to Milligan and at dead end and red flashing light turn LEFT on Hwy 90 EAST

You will cross a concrete bridge in ¼ to ½ mile.  After the bridge, take the NEXT RIGHT onto Route 4, Antioch Road

You will cross over I-10 and dead-end on Highway 85 (Sign for new houses including “Foxwood CC” on Left and Tom Thumb Gas Station on Right—important on the way back to find turn, Also Stoplight)

Turn RIGHT and proceed on Highway 85 South and follow signs for TOLL 293 BAY BRIDGE and Niceville

When Highway 85 intersects Route 20, Turn LEFT onto Route 20 (John SIM Parkway)

Go 5-6 miles on Route 20

Turn RIGHT at stoplight for sign for TOLL 293 Bay Bridge.  You will pass “Blue Water Bay Boulevard” on your right before getting to stoplight

Proceed several miles through the residential area until you come to the bridge toll booth

Pay toll ($2) and cross bridge

Go to Highway 98 (red light) (Walgreen’s on right). 

Turn LEFT onto Highway 98

Sandestin Hilton is 5.9 miles on the RIGHT in Sandestin Resort.  Check in at gatehouse.
