Adam Brown is a doctor who works at the department of rheumatic and immunologic diseases at Cleveland Clinic. He's certified in rheumatology and internal medicine, and received additional specialty training in vasculitis. He's interested in general rheumatology, as well as vasculitis, susac syndrome, and autoimmune inner ear disease.

Dr. Brown enjoys teaching trainees about the field of rheumatology. He wrote a textbook called Rheumatology Made Ridiculously Simple, which is specifically designed to teach medical students and residents about rheumatology. Additionally, Dr. Brown hosts a podcast called Rheuminations, which discusses rare diseases, interviews other experts in the field, and even explores the history of rheumatology. Dr. Felicia Cosman is an amazing clinical scientist, endocrinologist, and osteoporosis specialist. She's currently a Professor of Medicine at Columbia University and is the North American Co-Editor in Chief of the journal Osteoporosis International. The journal is an international multidisciplinary journal that focuses on research related to the diagnosis, prevention, and management of osteoporosis.

Dr. Cosman received her BA from Cornell, MD from Stony Brook, and completed internship, residency, and endocrinology fellowship at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She's been awarded many grants from NIH, DOD, foundations, and industry and has published over 185 peer-reviewed papers in prestigious journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine and Journal of the American Medical Association. She has written over 50 book chapters for textbooks in various fields including internal medicine, osteoporosis, endocrinology, rheumatology, and gynecology. Dr. Cosman has even been a co-editor for several professional textbooks, including “Osteoporosis: An Evidence Based Approach to the Prevention of Fractures” by the American College of Physicians and “Marcus and Feldman’s Osteoporosis Fifth Edition” by Elsevier Academic Press. She's the author of “What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Osteoporosis” which was published by Warner Books.

Alan L. Epstein, MD, is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, as well as an attending physician and chief of rheumatology at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Epstein has a private practice in clinical rheumatology in Philadelphia too.

Dr. Epstein received his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University in CT and his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in MA. He completed his internship, medical residency, and chief medical residency at Montefiore Medical Center in NY. Dr. Epstein completed his rheumatology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NY. He is a past president of the Philadelphia Rheumatism Society and a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology (ACR). Additionally, he received the 2010 Joseph Hollander Award from the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation for excellence in rheumatology. Dr. Epstein’s research interests have included drug-induced lupus, systemic lupus erythematosus, and osteoporosis. He lectures widely in various areas of rheumatology, including immunology, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, osteoporosis, biosimilars, and anti-inflammatory therapy.

Dr. Joerg Ermann had a pretty global upbringing - he grew up in Germany and went to Medical School at the University of Leipzig. After that, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Immunology with Dr. Garry Fathman at Stanford University, and a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee Memphis. Then he made his way to Boston for subspecialty training in Rheumatology. He completed a fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital and joined the faculty in the Division of Rheumatology, Immunology, and Allergy at BWH.

Dr. Ermann is passionate about spondyloarthritis and has both clinical and research interests in the field. In his lab, he uses mouse models and translational research approaches to investigate disease mechanisms relevant to spondyloarthritis. Dr. Ermann is a member of the Board of Directors and is even the chair of the Education Committee of SPARTAN (Spondyloarthritis Research and Treatment Network).

Dr. Alisa N. Femia is a highly respected dermatologist based in New York. Dr. Femia received her medical degree from Stony Brook University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and completed her dermatology residency at SUNY at Stony Brook in 2012. She is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology, which she earned in 2012.

Currently, Dr. Femia holds various positions including Associate Professor at the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, Director of Faculty Development, and Director of Inpatient Dermatology at the Department of Dermatology. Her expertise in the field of dermatology is highly regarded, and she is known for her exceptional patient care, extensive knowledge, and commitment to education and training.

Arthur Kavanaugh, MD, is a Professor of Medicine and the Director of the Center for Innovative Therapy at UC San Diego. He received his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO, and then completed his internal medicine residency and allergy/immunology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, followed by a rheumatology fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas.

Dr. Kavanaugh is a respected member of the Academy of Clinician Scholars, having been an inaugural member and remaining active in the group. Since 2006, he has also served as the Divisional Representative to the UCSD Medical Group Quality Council, where he's responsible for quality improvement within the division. Overall, Dr. Kavanaugh is a highly qualified medical professional who has dedicated his career to advancing the field of medicine through innovative therapies and improving the quality of patient care.

Dr. Julie Paik is an accomplished physician who completed her medical school training at the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. After that, she completed her residency and chief residency at UCLA-Cedars-Sinai/VA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Paik then completed her rheumatology fellowship at Johns Hopkins and joined the faculty in 2013. She currently sees patients at the Johns Hopkins Myositis Center and Scleroderma Center. Her research interests lie in myositis and scleroderma or overlap myositis, and she's especially interested in novel therapeutics in refractory dermatomyositis. Dr. Paik is passionate about her work and continues to make great strides in her field.

In addition to her impressive credentials, Dr. Paik is also the Director of Clinical Trials at the Johns Hopkins Myositis Center and holds the position of Associate Professor of Medicine. Her dedication to her patients and her research has earned her respect and admiration in her field, and she continues to make significant contributions to the medical community.

John Stone, MD, MPH is an accomplished researcher and physician who co-founded the Vasculitis Center at Johns Hopkins University. He's directed a multi-center, randomized clinical trial in Wegener's granulomatosis and even had the results of this trial published in The New England Journal of Medicine in 2005. Currently, he is the Co-PI of another multi-center clinical trial in ANCA-associated vasculitis, Rituximab in ANCA-Associated Vasculitis HRAVe. The primary results of this trial were recently published in The New England Journal of Medicine in 2010.

Dr. Stone's most recent research interest pertains to IgG4-related systemic disease (IgG4-RSD), which is an emerging disease. His research group at the MGH made a groundbreaking observation that rituximab therapy leads to the targeted reduction of the IgG4 subclass of immunoglobulins in this disorder. Dr. Stone is also passionate about teaching and has given numerous lectures in his field. He delivered the Sir James Cameron Lecture at the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh) in 2003, the Dunlop-Dottridge Lecture at the Canadian Rheumatology Association in 2007, and the Woodbury Lecture at Dalhousie University in 2010.
